Networking from a single source

30th AFCEA exhibition

Konstanz, 29th February 2016. With the new communication server and "cross-functional operation and display", ATM ComputerSysteme GmbH will be presenting two technology highlights from booth G2 at the 30th AFCEA exhibition, which will be held from 27 to 28 April 2016 at the Stadthalle Bonn-Bad Godesberg municipal hall. These two focal points provide the foundations for the success of information-led missions and raise network-centric warfare to a whole new level.

Thanks to state-of-the-art hardware that is tailored to future requirements, the new communication server (KommServer) will ensure command capability for the army both now and in the future. As the tactical backbone of communication, the new KommServer is both backward-compatible and compatible with the upcoming generation of communication software. As a result, the KommServer is set to remain an indispensable component in the army's communication network. When it comes to form, fit and function, the new KommServer continues to be compatible with the communication servers that have already been introduced in the army in every respect. The new KommServer hardware is prepared for the army's future tactical communication software which is currently under development. New communication and command resources can be adapted at any time.

Alongside Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG (KMW), ATM ComputerSysteme GmbH (ATM) will be demonstrating the "cross-functional operation and display" (QBA) as a cross-system operating concept for the vehicles of the German Federal Army. As a system solution, QBA takes into account the heightened threat of danger in military operations and the resulting technological requirements. QBA uses a cross-functional software interface to create an optimised overview of the situation thanks to the intelligent networking of all subsystems and sensors, thus offering improved command capability by means of intuitive operation and standardised hardware. The ATM CENTURION i7 computer and ATM VistaMaster display are key hardware components of QBA.

Our employees will be on hand at the exhibition to answer any questions relating to the systems on display.
