Ergonomics of human-system interaction

ATM displays and optical display systems are used by operators at their workstations. This makes it important to apply standards concerning the human-computer interaction of these devices and systems.

DIN EN ISO 9241-307 “Ergonomics of human-system interaction – Part 307: “Analysis and compliance test methods for electronic visual displays” describes testing procedures for inspecting various technologies, tasks and environments of optical displays. One notable aspect of this standard is that the section of DIN EN ISO 9241-307 applied by ATM is worded flexibly and can be adapted easily for brand new equipment and systems as well as contexts of use. For this purpose, the standard describes compliance test methods for the analysis of human-system interactions. The aim of the standard is for the workstation to be designed to facilitate work and preclude any health hazards.
